Blackboard for Beginners should be the first course completed for ALL new students who wish to use courses prepared by Daniel Stein. This course sets the stage and the system for all of Professor Stein's courses, while presenting enjoyable and intriguing activities.

Students must know or be taught the following computer skills to be used on their computer (either at school or at home)
• What is a folder, a file, a file extension and Prof. Stein's NAMING CONVENTIONS
• How to create a student folder in MY DOCUMENTS (Prof. Stein's NAMING CONVENTIONS)
• How to open and use Microsoft Word
• How to name a file (Prof. Stein's NAMING CONVENTIONS)
• How to save a file in the designated student folder
• How to print a file
• How to use Internet Explorer and navigate the World Wide Web

Student Blackboard Skills
• How to Login (After receiving a student number)
• How to navigate Blackboard
• How to use the Discussion Board
• How to use the Homework Posting
