Welcome (click) to Professor Stein's Blackboard Beginner Course. 
Blackboard for Beginners is the first in a series of exciting courses that are FUN, Exciting and yes Educational. Upon completing this course you will have a beautifully printed portfolio, certificates of course completion (see a sample) and your own website to show your family and friends, 
Blackboard for Beginners goal is to make you familiar with the computer and Blackboard. You will need a student name and password which your teacher will assign to you. Here's a partial list of things you will "need to know" in order to participate in Blackboard distance learning program.

Most of the time we will be showing you what you want to do next. 

Here is an example. 
   We will take you to a website where you can make your very own animal. When you are finished you will probably wish to print your work. We will teach you how best to do that! What is the problem you ask? Well we want to make sure that when the paper comes out of the printer you have your NYCA heading on it, with your name, class and date. This way we can give it to you.

    Why not visit the site first. Make an animal by choosing parts (the head, btail feet of other animals) When you are finished choose the "back" button and we will then show you how to make a heading and print your work with your heading. http://www.switchzoo.com
TO PRINT YOUR WORK:
After you make your animal, press the "PRT SC" Button on your keyboard (top right). That will take a snapshot of the screen with your animal on it. Now you need to open a page in Microsoft Word and write in your Name, and some other information. I have helpped you by making a document for you. Just replace the ** with your information. When you are finished with that information press Edit and Paste in the space povided with the **
