VLC Agenda - Spring 2004 (beginner)
The Virtual Learning Center program has a long range goal of creating robust school websites that contain students' work, teachers' lessons and technology activities, as well as disseminatiing important information to teachers, staff, parents and the community at large.  Web sites will eventually be posted from the Region 3 website and be accessable from anywhere. School web sites will be rated as to their content and style but more importantly by their use by students and to what extent standards based education is enhanced and enriched.
The VLC program will train technology representatives from participating schools to eventually become school web masters. We hope that this course will ignite a creative technology spark and show the technology trainee how to overcome technological obstacles.
Blackboard will be used for some lesson assignments, discussions and transfer of files. Blackboard is a program typically used at universities and colleges.
